Most folks are familiar with the Laws of Thermodynamics, at least in name if not in definition. They are: Energy can neither be created nor destroyed; The entropy of the universe tends to a maximum; As a system approaches absolute zero, all processes cease and the entropy of the system approaches a minimum value.
On the other hand, everybody knows about Murphy's Law of Thermodynamics, if not in name, at least by the effect. It reads: Things get worse under pressure
